We have partnered with Nexbillpay to extend an additional payment option for customers interested in using their check, debit card, or credit card to pay their bill. Nexbillpay is a trusted third-party automated payment service that allows you to pay your bill online.

  • What is the service fee?

Nexbillpay charges a small service fee to cover payment handling and all processing charges. A service fee will be calculated and disclosed prior to finishing your payment.

  • Does Mitchell Water System, Inc keep any part of the service fee?

Mitchell Water System, Inc does not keep any part of the Nexbillpay service fee. Nexbillpay is a separate entity providing a service for all the customers of Mitchell Water System, Inc.

NO DISCONNECT NOTICE WILL BE SENT. ALL charges including reconnect fee is DUE by 2:00 PM SAME DAY to reconnect. Any bill paid after 2:00PM will be reconnected the NEXT BUSINESS DAY. 

Tampering with a locked meter and/or water equipment property will result in an additional fee and possible criminal charges.

Late fees go into effect on the 21st day of each month but may not reflect on the account until the 23rd-25th of the month.

Volunteer Fire charges that are NOT paid by the 23rd-25th of the month WILL NOT forward as a balance due the next month.

IMPORTANT: Any connection/reconnection of water service on Mitchell Water System, Inc. that is done without the authorization of Mitchell Water System, Inc is considered to be “tampering” and is classified as a felony by law. Perpetrators are subject to prosecution to the fullest extent of the law as well as permanent denial of water service anywhere on Mitchell Water System, Inc. plus all accrued charges and fees.

Mitchell Water System, Inc is not liable if you receive a disconnect notice and do not call our office before making payment. Your services may be disconnected and will be subject to a reconnect fee. If you are disconnected, your account balance plus a reconnect fee will need to be paid in FULL before services are reconnected. If you are currently disconnected and make an online payment, your utilities WILL NOT be reconnected unless you contact our office to inform us of the payment.
